The inner corner weld bead disrupts flow and traps deposits that accelerate crevice attack. C276 is specified for the most aggressive reducing-acid environments — wet chlorine, concentrated HCl, sulfuric acid at temperature. Welds are the weakest point and fail first in these conditions. C276 extruded square pipe has no welds, so there is no weak point. If the application justifies C276, it justifies seamless.
